Catching up...

I have been a big slacker this year on here.  We have had a big change in our lives and it has not been fun.  I know it is December but in July, Clark lost his job, and after a month or so we decided and felt like it was best to move back to Utah, where all our family is.  Thanksgiving was a little different for us this year, we actually had family and I didn't have to do all of it.  It was great all I had to do was a Rainbow Jello Salad and some Chocolate Cream Pies, it was great.  Good food, great company and lots of fun!

I am going to try to get caught up so hopefully you will bear with me.  There will probably be lots of photos and lots of memories.

I think am going to start off with the spring festivities that I slacked off on.

Clark and the J.V. Soccer team.  He did a great job this last spring and I was so proud of him.  It took a lot to be on the team and I think he proved that he knew what he was doing.  Even though he had to play as a defender.  He had never really played defender before.  He was usually a forward, but he was a defender that could take the ball up the side and score.  Yes, he scored a couple different times.  He is a fun one to watch and his footwork is awesome!!

The J.V. soccer team at the banquet.

Soccer for the rest of the clan went great also.  They had a lot of fun playing and progressing in the sport.

Andrew had a blast playing this season.  It has been so fun to watch him grow in the sport of soccer.  He had a great coach (no it was not me this time).  He learned a lot and met some new friends.  There were still a few of his friends on the team, so it was all good.  He did score once or twice, but he just loves to play the game.

Whether he was on the field or not, he always has a smile on his face...

and the tongue was always sticking out.  Such a funny kid.
Andrew getting his award from his coach.
They had a swim party and the team had a blast!

Emma had so much fun playing soccer this year.  She really liked her coach, she has had him for the last four seasons, and he really loved to have her on his team.  If I am correct Emma's team won first place for the spring season.  Way to go team!!

Waiting for Ryan's game to begin.

Ryan also enjoyed playing this season.  He still loves to play goalie, and he does a great job!  He had Coach Mark again, which is always great, we like Coach Mark!  It is always fun to watch him play.  Parents ask how I can watch him play his position, I just say it has gotten easier with each season.  Now, I still cringe when they charge him but so far so good, no injuries.

It is always sad to see the season end, but I always look forward to the next season.  So see you then!!

School has ended and summer is beginning!
Our first trip to the splash pad this year.  It was great we went with Andrew's friends Caroline and her sister and Kael.  They had a blast!!  It is always to get together with your friends, and he misses them dearly.

 Taking time out to sunbathe.
They were so funny when they came over the lay down and dry off.

Field trips, band concerts, awards and lots of fun.

I think he does this on purpose so I can't get his picture. :)
He loves playing in the band, and has lots of friends there.

 Emma and the field trip
5-7-2014
Taking a selfie on the way to school that morning. I was able to go with Emma on her field trip for the first time in a couple of years.  I was excited to go since I enjoy seeing the sights Alabama has to offer.  Our first stop was to The George Washington Carver Museum in Tuskegee, Alabama.  It was really cool to learn more about what George Washington Carver did in his lifetime.
Then over to "The Oaks " which is where Booker T. Washington lived while he built Tuskegee University (if I remember correctly).  I love the inside of the home, it was beautiful.  It was dark but georgous!

Last but not least, we stopped at the Tuskegee Airman National Historic Site, in Tuskegee.  It was interesting.  There was a lot to learn that I had no idea of.  Like I said I was glad I was able to go.

Clark and the Spanish Honor Society

 5-6-2014
Getting the low down on what to do for induction to the Spanish Honor Society.
Such a proud moment for mom and dad. He is such a great kid and student.  I didn't realize there was such a thing but so excited for him.
 Lighting his candle,
 reciting the oath,
and signing his name into the society.
He was inducted with one of his best friends Brandon another friend Kyle.
It was pretty awesome!

Piano recitals.  It was quite nice this year we only had Emma taking piano so it was just her.  She did a great job.  It won't let me upload a video so all I have is a picture.

ARMT Recognition and end of school year awards.  Just like last year Emma was honored with an award for making a 4 on one or more of her ARMT testing. She got it on both reading and math.  WAHOO, way to go Girl!

I didn't get a good picture of her with her other awards but she earned an AB Honor Roll, and award for the 2nd place in her class for reading the most books and a certificate of graduation for the sixth grade.  Yea, Jr. High here I come!!
Our trip to PrimedWe were on our way home after soccer one Saturday after being at the field for ever.  As we were getting loaded and everyone into the car,  Andrew decided he was going to shut his (automatic) door in the van.  Next thing I hear is him screaming, he had shut his hand in the door.  Luckily nothing was broken just bruised.  Not a good way to end the afternoon.

More random fun...
..the splash pad (again)  We would all meet either at the library for story time or after at the splash pad so the littles could use up some of their energy and give us moms a break.  They always had a blast!

playing in the water in the backyard.  I was watching my friends kids and the two four year olds had already decided they were going to play out in the water. So i made sure we had swim suits and they had a blast.  Water guns plus a pool filled with water equals lots of fun!  Oh ya, Emma was already out of school so she was there to help me, bonus.
