2 months and counting!

Just a little update on Andrew. He had his two month check up today. He is getting so big. He weighs 12 lbs 10 ounces and is 24 inches long. He is going to be a big boy, but then again have you seen Clark lately? He is almost taller than me.

It is so fun to see babies get their personality, Andrew is starting to tell us more stories. He has also found his hands and his facial expressions are priceless.

I had to put these one's in here because they make me laugh! The one below cracks me up. It's like his eyes are popping out. I love it!!



He has just figured out that if you hit the hanging toys they make noise. He thought this was great.

All tuckered out!!

Tis the season for soccer, soccer and more soccer!

You can tell when it's fall, football is on the television and the soccer fields are full of teams practicing. Our life as we know it consists of only one thing, soccer. This season Clark, Ryan and Emma are all playing soccer. Which means being at the soccer field three nights a week on top of piano, and scouts/young mens.

It was a good week for their teams, they all won!! YEA!!

I had to put this picture in here because Emma was so mad that she didn't want to play, the referee made her take out her earrings. She was afraid that if she took her earrings out the holes would close. We talked her back into playing, telling her everything would be fine and having her earrings out for an hour wasn't going to hurt anything. She did play, and she even enjoyed it. She started out as the goalie and even stopped the ball that came at her. Emma's team is 2-0. YEA!!

Ryan is playing goalie again. He loves that position, me as a mom I'm not too sure. But I have to remember if I want him to play I can't complain. Here he is celebrating one of the teams goals. It was funny I went to take the picture while he was jumping up and down but the camera went to sleep and by the time it woke up this was what he was doing. Ryan's team is 1-0. YEA!!

Clark is playing forward again. He is getting better each year. He also has a great coach, and the other teams are saying that this team is going to be good. The sad thing is there are only three teams total in his league, so they will play each other four times this season. Oh well it's just for fun anyways isn't it? Clark's team is 2-0. YEA!!

Andrew's Blessing

Sunday September 6, 2009 was a very special day. Andrew was given a name and a blessing. He was such a happy baby that day. He smiled and even tried to tell stories during his blessing. I am so thankful for him, for coming here and brightening our family a little bit more. I know he is loved by all. We want to thank everyone that supported us on this special occasion.

He was such a happy baby for these pictures, he is smiling in most of them. Isn't he a handsome one! I love his smile, it always makes me happy.

Hello from the South!!

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth. Oh I guess it's not that time of year yet. Emma was so excited about loosing her front teeth, she hadn't lost any teeth since last summer (2008), so she was ready when these came loose last spring. It seems like it took forever for them to fall out, and now she has two more teeth that are loose. Isn't she just so cute!!

Emma, Andrew (6 weeks old) and Ryan . I pulled out the camera to take Emma's picture of her missing teeth, and Ryan and Emma wanted their picture taken with Andrew for the blog, so here it is.


Last week we were fortunate enough to have Grandma and Grandpa W. and Aunt Jennifer come for a visit. While they were here we tried to see some of the sights, the downfall was that Grandma and Grandpa were only here for two days, so we weren't able to do very much sight seeing. The main reason they came was that we were blessing Andrew that Sunday. It was wonderful that they were able to come even if it was for a short time, and we loved having them here and would love for them to come back. Here are some of the places that we did see.

We took the Trolley through Montgomery, to learn about some of the historic things that happened here, but just our luck the recording wasn't working and we just enjoyed the ride. The driver did point out some of the main things the were interesting. Like did you know the first open heart surgery was done in Montgomery?


We also went over to the old Cotton Gin plant that Daniel Pratt started. You can't go inside but there is still some fun things around the outside. We found out that the footings are still in place from the railroad that was there, and his house would have just been over my Dad's left shoulder. We actually learned that little bit of information at a museum a few days after my parents had to leave.

I figured I better put me in here too so you can see that I was actually there. I like taking the pictures so I don't have to be in them!

We also found a cotton farm and went and checked it out. The plants were still blooming on the top and at the bottoms there was cotton. To me it is so cool to see these plants, it blows my mind to think people actually had to hand pick these and then take the seeds out at one time. I wouldn't want to do that.

We also went to one of the Antebellum homes in the area. This one is called "Buena Vista" (it means beautiful view). We weren't able to go in, but Jennifer and I went back to tour it later in the week when it was open. I love these homes I think they are so wonderful.

This is the First White House of the Confederacy, that was started here in Montgomery, they later moved to Georgia but the building remained here. I keep going there hoping to go for a tour of the inside, but needless to say it is never open when I get there. One of these days I will get inside! I think it would be awesome to see. There is so much history here that I would never have seen if we hadn't of moved, I still miss my family and friends but we are enjoying it here.

I have to go now Andrew is not happy. I will update with blessing pictures ASAP, they are ready to go just no journaling!
