Trick-or-Treat!!!

Halloween has finally come and gone. I enjoy Halloween, because you can dress up and have a great time. You don't have to worry about anything, like how big of a dork you can be or a scary vampire or as cute as Little Red Riding Hood and have a blast. Halloween is such a fun and crazy holiday. Here are some pictures of our night, and my front door. I hope you enjoy them!!

Carving Pumpkins!

Finally, some time to carve our pumpkins. On Thursday we were able to carve pumpkins. We were able to get them gutted before we went to piano, so we could finish them when we got back. It was a late night but we did it and the kids enjoyed it. Clark did most of his by himself (except for some of the spider you couldn't see the lines so I helped him there), Ryan did his all by himself and Emma poked the pattern but I cut it for her (she wasn't sure about cutting it herself). They did a great job and I'm looking forward to see what they pick next year to do.

Yes we kind of cheat, we have some pattern books the kids like to choose from and then they try their hardest to do the pattern. Both Clark's and Ryan's were difficult and Emma's was easy, but either way they are great!!!

Trunk or Treat!!

Our Ward had our "Trunk or Treat" Wednesday night. It was a lot of fun. It was a carnival theme, there was a lot of things for the kids to do. As usual we got there and the kids disappeared so I don't have pictures of the carnival itself except one or two. They were able to play ring the bead necklace around the witches hat, toss the eyeball into the cup, bean bag toss, and there was a cake walk, along with nachos, popcorn and root beer for snack. Then it was time to go outside for the "trunk or treat". We were supposed to decorate our trunks, I got the message that day so I made sock ghosts and hung them in my trunk. It was cheesy but it worked.

We had just seen Hoodwinked again for the thousandth time and decided we would try to mimic it. Dad has the voice of the wolf down. Except Mom, I don't have the hair to pull off Grannies in the movie. But it was fun everyone thought I just rolled out of bed.

Fall is finally here, I think!!

I was out in my backyard the other day and noticed the one red leaf on the tree, I thought isn't that wonderful, fall is finally here!!

It is almost the end of October and the leaves are just starting to change color and the heat and humidity is just starting to leave. This past week has felt great we have been able to open our windows and let the cool air come in at night. It is so weird because I am so used to fall coming earlier in the year. I LOVE the fall season with the color of the leaves, and seeing the Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations.

Dart Tag!!

Sunday after we got home from church, Clark, Ryan and Emma started taking all the bean bags and pillows into the boys room. Little did I know that they were building barricades so the could play dart tag. After a while Dad decided to go and play with them . As you can tell we have quite a collection, the machine gun (the red and black gun with clips) and the yellow one in the middle are Dad's. Yes, Dad had to have some also. Ryan thinks he needs Dad's gun to play with because it is the best, and he can beat Clark with it.

As you can tell they have a blast with them. They also like to shoot them at Mom who is usually unarmed. I hope you enjoyed this entry it is something they enjoy doing together even if it is on a Sunday!

3. We move to Smithfield, Utah from Ogden, Utah, to be closer to Clark's (my husband's) job.
4. We had just found out that we were expecting another child again.
5. My grandma had passed away earlier this year.
6. I was working at home for Herff Jones.


5 years ago:
1. I have been married for eleven years now.
2. We now have three kids; Clark 6, Ryan 4, Emma 1.
3. We are still living in Smithfield, Utah.
4. Tried to camp over the summer as much as we could.
5. Volunteered in Clarks Kindergarten class when I could.
6. I was the chorister in Primary.


1 year ago:
1. Married thirteen years.
2. Moved across the country to Prattville, Alabama from Smithfield, Utah.
3. Drove back to Utah for a summer vacation and visited Nauvoo and the Carthage Jail.
4. While in Utah took the kids to see Promintory Point. They loved seeing the trains there.
5. Took the kids to Disney World for the first time.
6. Visited the Gulf of Mexico in Gulf Shores Alabama.
7. Had our first Thanksgiving and Christmas away from family.


This year:
1. Married fourteen years.
2. Had a close call with a tornado that hit within a mile and a half from our home in Alabama.
3. Drove back to Utah again.
4. Rafted the Oenida narrows on the Bear River in Preston Idaho. Had a blast.
5. Drove through Denver on our way home and saw the Denver Broncos stadium on our way back home (It was very early in the morning). It was my first time in Colorado.
6. Went with Clark to Napa Valley for a meeting (first time there), and we were able to do some touring. We had dinner and toured one of the wineries there, drove over to San Franscisco to go over the Golden Gate Bridge and to see some of the Redwoods. I had a great time. Thanks to Lori I was able to go.
7. I am the Wolf Den Leader in our Ward.
8. I substitute teach with the schools here in our county.


Today 10/8/08:
1. Wash laundry.
2. Fold laundry.
3. Den Meeting. We are taking a field trip to Herff Jones to see how books are put together, and yes, my husband is guiding the tour.
4. Today is a calm day because we don't have football practice for Ryan or Soccer practice for Clark, dance for Emma. So I am taking it easier.
5. I do need to clean the bathrooms.

Tomorrow:
1. Get the kids off to school.
2. Do house work.
3. Take Clark and Ryan to their practices.
4. Find time to relax!! (jk)

Aren't kids just like the stars, they are always shining. This is one of my favorite songs that I would sing to Clark, Ryan and Emma as I tried to put them to bed when they were younger. They would always want the "star song", so I would sing "Twinkle twinkle little star" They would interrupt me and say the other "star song". So we would sing "I Am Like a Star" I think it was their favorite as they grew up. I hope they will always shine in whatever they do.


I thought since the kids were all dressed up for church it would a good time to get some new snapshots, since I hadn't taken one of them all together lately, so I took the opportunity. They don't like to be out in the sun because they say it hurts their eyes. So we took a few in the backyard and then some from inside the house. Here are some of my favorites. I was playing around with my camera trying to figure out how to do black and white pictures, so let me know what you think

At The Park:

On Monday it was Parent Teacher Conferences, so the kids were out of school for the day. We met Dad for lunch in Montgomery, went and met with their teachers and we ended up at the park waiting for Emma's dance class to begin. We can't go the park without going to the duck pond before we leave. The kids love to try to skip rocks, and look at all of the ducks and geese.
