MY SWEETHEART

I hardly post on this much, but I wanted to be mushy for a moment and post a note about my wife. Stephanie is always engaged in something. She does so much around the house and taking care of the children. I don't think anyone cares more for their kids than how much she cares for hers. She is always concerned about making sure they have opportunities to learn, grow and have fun. From the time they are young, she nurtures and teaches them correct principles and I am so grateful she cares so much about the Gospel.

She is always thinking of others. If it isn't her children she is taking care of me. I love it when she is out and about she'll stop and get me a soda! I love it when she goes to the store and brings me home a bag of BBQ chips! I love it when I can't find a tool because it means she has made some improvement around the house, mostly because she's tired of waiting for me! :) I love the little growl she makes when I frustrate her. I don't know if she does it cause she wants to call me an idiot or because she knows I think its cute. I love her willingness to sacrifice for her family, like dealing with the discomfort of allergies so we can have a dog, two no less!

She is very spiritual and pushes all of us to do better. I am amazed by her and don't know what I would do without her. To sum it all up: MY WIFE ROCKS! I love you Stephanie.

I am a Princess

I have been searching the CTR manual for questions for our young women's/young men's combined activity this week (more to come) and I came across this poem. I thought it was beautiful and I wanted to share it. It reminds me of who I am and that Heavenly Father loves us. So enjoy.

Bear

In this life I'm a woman. In my next life I'd like to come back as a bear.

When your a bear, you get to hibernate. You do nothing but sleep for six months. I could deal with that.

Before you hibernate, you're supposed to eat yourself stupid. I could deal with that, too.

When your a girl bear, you birth your children (who are the size of walnuts) while your sleeping and wake to partially grown, cute cuddly cubs. I could definately deal with that.

If your a mamma bear, everyone knows you mean business. You swat anyone who bothers your cubs. If your cubs get out of line, you swat them too. I could deal with that.

If your a bear, your mate EXPECTS you to wake up growling. He EXPECTS that you will have hairy legs and excess body fat.

Yup...gonna be a bear.

Happy Valentines Day!!!!

Yes, I know Valentines was yesterday but I didn't have time to put this on before my bed was calling me. I had seen an idea like this in one of the blogs I follow (Our Best Bites) and thought it would be fun and the kids would enjoy it. They loved it!!!!!!! (Emma said I needed more !, she loved it). I cut out the conversation hearts and decorated the table, I made pink pancakes (I started making them into heart shapes but that didn't work so I colored them pink), made a raspberry sauce/syrup and sausage and bacon and scrambled eggs. The kids love it when we put berry's and whipped cream on our pancakes. Thank you "Our Best Bites" for another great idea.

Andrew is 19 months...Already!!

Well can you believe that Andrew is already 19 months (today to be exact). He had his 18 month checkup last Monday and I forgot to record his measurements. He is growing up so fast I can't believe it, It seem like just yesterday he was born. I was also thinking that I want to compare the measurements of all the kids to see how they all compare. Hopefully I can find all their charts. Well here is Andrews 18 month 3 week check up stats as of 2-7-11:

Weight: 24.6 lbs (35th percent)
Height: 34 1/2 (upper 90th percent)
Head circumference: 18 3/4 (40th percent)

Andrew is growing like a weed, he went from the 55th percent to the upper 90th percent in heighth since his last check up. He is going to be just like his brothers, tall.

Some of the things he is doing now are:
*He loves watching Mickey Mouse
*He has to climb on everything
*Like any other child as soon as you pick up their toys they have to pull them right back out.
*When tired or falling asleep he has to to rub and pinch the back of your arm and yes I have the bruises to prove it
*He doesn't like to stay still for anything (diaper change or getting him dressed)
*He is not into eating regular food much and I have resorted back to baby food for the most part, he still fights me to eat it but even then I know he is getting some nutrition
*He loves to play with the dogs, he will hear them at the door and he has to go over and see them
*He hears music and he stops and has to dance/jig to the music
*He loves his baths and will run to the bath tub when I mention the word bath
*He loves to play the Xbox (or he thinks he is playing) with his dad and brothers, (we have a broken controller that we have deemed his, and he loves it), even at his age boys will be boys
*He loves to play at the park, he especially loves to swing
*He loves to blow kisses and wave when you say bye bye
*He has just started to give kisses on your cheek, he even makes the kissing sound
*He is such a happy child and loves to make you laugh
*I can't forget he loves to pull the cd's and dvd's off there shelves and bring them to us

Basketball is...

...officially over for the season I'm not sure to be happy or sad but I am looking forward to relaxing and not having to go anywhere in the evenings. I do enjoy watching them play. But then soccer starts the beginning of next month. I am going to enjoy my three weeks of nothing but Young Womens, Scouts, piano and achievement days. The one nice thing is all these happen on one day of the week with the exception of Emma's paino lessons.

With the season coming to an end and Clark having his last game and Ryan having his team party a half hour after Clark's game started, and I was trying to take a few pictures while I was there. The only problem was we were late getting there, so he didn't get to play the first quarter, and he came in to play the second quarter and got a bloody nose within the first few minutes of the quarter so he had to come out of the game. So I only got to see a couple of minutes of him playing and I only got a few pictures because I had to leave for Ryan's party, but he has progressed so much this year, I am so proud of him.

Ryan has also had a great year. His team almost undefeated they won all their games except the last one, and I proof that he even touched the ball this season, he got to shoot free throws, and I believe he even made one. YEA for Ryan.




Clark went to the Science Olympiad on Saturday. They left at 5:15 in the am and arrived back home just after 6:00 pm. I asked him if he was exhausted and his answer was 'yes, I am tired it was a long day'. As I was waiting for him he was walking over to the van with a huge grin on his face. He and his teammate has place second in out of about fifteen teams in the Experimental Design catagory and fourth place in about thirteen teams in the Road Scholar catagory. Way to go Clark, I am so proud of you!!!!! I am glad he likes science because I never really did very good at it.
