We made it to Utah. We left last Wednesday and arrived here Thursday. It took us about 31 hours travel time. We drove through the night, stopped for food and bathroom breaks, or we would have made it sooner. We also traveled through cold temperatures, clouds sitting on the ground, snow, sleet, hail and the aftermath of a tornado in Laramie, Wy. We had to drive about 25 miles an hour between Cheyenne and Laramie because of the storms. The authorities actually were just getting ready to close the freeway when we passed. I didn't think it was going to be cold plus we were going to Utah where in the summer it gets hot so I didn't think we needed warm clothing, we were leaving 80-90 degrees with high humidity, so we all left in sandels, shorts, no jackets and we froze taking our stops.
We are really glad to be here. Dad left on Monday to go back home for work, so the rest of us are here playing with our cousins and helping Grandpa with his yard work. For the first few days it was quite chilly here, but now it is warming up and becoming wonderful. We are still trying to get up to the mountians to go camping but last week there was still snow drifts on the road. We hope that we will be able to get our trailers up there soon. I am getting anxious to get to the mountians. I love to go camping and the kids are getting excited to go.
Well that's about all for now.

Ending of the School Year
As the end of the school year comes to an end we are being pulled in all different directions.

Clark and Ryan had their piano recital back on April 25th. They both did a remarkable job. They have only been taking piano for eight months and completed two sets of books. Their teacher had them doing flashcards and Clark was the fastest in the beginning class. Their teacher said they were wonderful students, and to keep practicing.

Soccer is now over. Ryan's team ended the season as first place, they did really well. Ryan was able to play a little of all the positions, but he mainly was a defender or goalie. Clark's team also did really well, they had fun and were able to learn a lot. Both Clark and Ryan were able to play in the first round of their tournaments. Sadly both teams lost their game.
Not to forget Emma, she had her ballet & tap recital last week. The theme for her was "Grease", and they looked so cute in their poodle skirts (for tap). She has learned so much in dance that she is already looking forward to next year. As her aunts say she needs to do sports instead of dance, but we are going to let her do it as long as she wants. She is the cutest one up there (from my point of view)! This coming weekend she has her baton & gymnastics recital. I saw their routines yesterday and they are so cute. They have done such a wonderful job on teaching the kids the dances, that they actually remember them in front of everybody.
Well I better get back to getting my house ready to leave. So I will probably see you before I get another chance to update. The kids are on the countdown to Grandma's & Grandpa's that they are getting ancy. We love all of you and we'll see you in a week!!!

We've been tagged!!
We have tagged by Clark J's friend so we are going to think about the six things and hope that you enjoy them.
1. We as a family took a chance and moved from Utah to Alabama last year. Talk about a change of lifestyle. The schools here are very different, they don't even have recess.

2.I love to play soccer!!

3. I took first place in our Stake's Pine Wood Derby. It was so close they had to have a race off to determine the winner!!

5. My favorite team is the Utah Jazz. Yes, while I live clear across the U.S. my Dad let us get Dish Networks NBA League Pass.
6. Math is still my favorite subject, especially algebra!!
Happy Birthday!!!
I am a little behind on what has been happening here. We have had a busy month. Clark turned eleven the first of this month and Emma turned six about a week ago. They both had a party, I am not one to do a party every
year so it was time to let them have one. Clark invited some friends over and they played XBox and went to see the movie "Horton Hears a Who". He said he had a fun time, he acted like he did. One of his favorite things was the Paul Milsap Jersey he got he wears it everyhere. I'm glad he was happy!!
Emma had a Princess Party, (can you tell she likes princesses?) They made crowns and pulled the strings on a pinata. It was her first party and she had a lot of fun. I think her favorite things were the Princess sleeping bag and the Hannah Montana and all of the dolls she got. She cayyies them with her everwhere, she even tries to sneek them to the soccer field. I hope that you enjoyed reading about their parties and I hope everything is well with you have a great night and we'll talk to you later!!
