Spring Break!!

Hello again, It is me! Now that Spring Break is over and the kids are back to school I can finally sit down and get caught up on my blogging, so here we go. Among the sickness the we have had (rsv, strep, croup & stomach flu just to name a few), and the record cold that we have had here, we are SO looking forward to spring and visiting with our family and friends this summer.

As you know we had Spring Break last week and we didn't do a whole lot, but on Thursday we took a day trip with some friends down to Mobile to the Explorium Science Museum. The kids had a lot of fun. First we made a stop at the Dinosaurs Alive Exhibit. The kids enjoyed that. Here are some pictures of our fun day!!

Clark and Ryan

Clark, Zack, Ryan, Emma, Grace and Marianna.

Andrew, Clark and Emma.

All the kids waiting to get spit (sprayed) on.

After the Dinosaurs we went inside and started with the My Bodyworks Exhibit. It was a really cool area. We learned a lot about the body and exercising and we were even able to do (pretend) surgery's. We spent most of our time there because there were a lot of hands on things to do and we couldn't get the big kids to leave.

Here it tells you how much blood you have in your body. It was kind of cool to see the difference in everybody.

Clark getting his blood pressure read.

Seeing how high you can jump

Then on to the Dinosaur Dig and then into the Hands on Hall.

Emma and Ryan using pulleys. There were three different types of pulleys to work with. One of them was really easy while the others were a little bit harder.

Emma, Grace and Marianna being weather girls. They had a lot of fun here being news anchors and weather girls.

Clark and Zack over in the virtual reality area having a ball. They would leave and come back for more. There are a lot more pictures of the fun we had but I don't want to bore you with them, but we had a lot of fun and enjoyed all the company we had. We will have to do something again.

Young Single Adult service project!! Being the Stake Young Single Adult's adviser's, we went to their service project as a family and helped them clean up one of the schools around the area. Clark helped his dad trim trees and Ryan, Emma and myself helped to pick up trash around the grounds.

Ryan also helped trim a couple of the bushes, with the help from some of the YSA's. He thought that was great

The night ended with a dance, and Emma couldn't wait to get her Dad out on the dance floor. All week she talked about being able to go to the dance and dancing with her Dad. She even got out on the dance floor and did the Electric Slide with her mother and another line dance with one of the YSA's. She loves to dance.

Last but not least Andrew. He is growing like a weed. He wasn't too sure about having his brothers and sister home all week but he managed. He now has six teeth, weighs almost 20 pounds, and is very long. He is just growing up too fast!! I went visiting teaching yesterday and the sister just had a baby within the last month, and Andrew looks huge next to her. You don't realize how fast they grow till you see other babies.

Emma had taken Andrew into her bedroom to help me out and I walked in there to check on them and she was playing house. She was pretending to feed him with her play food and she had tried to make his hair stand up, but by the time I got the camera she had combed his hair down and was just playing. We have found a new chair for him he loves her princess chair, the only problem is it is pink and I don't think Emma is going to give it up yet!

Cheese!!!
