Another posting!!

I was talking with a friend of mine and she mentioned that I really needed to update my blog. So I decided that I had a few more minutes to add to what I had already updated today, so here are some of the things we have been doing during the month of December, I'm sorry if it is picture overload. I do hope that you enjoy! Ryan decided that he was going to be in the school choir this year. They practiced once a week before school and I guess because he gets to school so early that it would be okay. There first concert was at the Buena Vista (an old Plantation home dated from 1822, is what the sign says). I think that he enjoyed it. He is trying not to look at the camera.

Emma's Primary class was asked to be in the Nativity at the Ward party, while the rest of the primary children sang. She got to be Mary she was so excited. Her class was the only one with enough boys in it to be the rest.

Emma's dance company was in the parade again this year, this is the last year that she gets to ride in it, next year if she is in it she has to walk.
Ryan was not excited to go, it was like pulling teeth to get him out the door, but once he got there and he found his friend (as you can tell on his face) he had a lot of fun.

Basketball Season has started.

Oh yes, we can't forget the sports. Ryan decided that he wanted to play basketball this season. Since last year we signed them up with the City league and it got cancelled due to not enough players, we decided to join the YMCA and have them play there since we hear it is one of there biggest programs. So far I am impressed, his coach is a member from our ward, I think that he is enjoying it. He still likes to watch what is going on but he also like to get out there and run around.Clark couldn't wait for basketball to start. He goes out in the backyard almost every day to practice his shots and he is getting better every game. His team is 3-0 and they keep improving every week.

I don't know if you can see Clark's black eye, during practice earlier in the week he got elbowed on a rebound. It looks a lot better than it did earlier in the week. It's a good thing he wasn't wearing his glasses.

Oh yes I can't forget Emma, she got invited to go to one of her friends birthday party. They went to a store called Libby Lu, and they all got a makeover hair, nails and makeup the whole works. They also got to pick some accessories to go along with their new look and a stuffed animal complete with outfit and purse. After everyone was done one of the workers took them out in the hall and they danced to Hannah Montanna (Best of Both Worlds). She had a blast! I didn't get a real good picture of her hair but she looked so grown up.

It's Christmas Day in the morning!!

Yes, I know I am a little late at posting my Christmas pictures. But I hope that you enjoy them. I didn't take a lot this year I was a slacker while we opened presents. I know the date sayes 1/1/09 but I got the puictures loaded that day and then company came and I finally just got back to it today.

I love the Christmas season, it just seems that everyone is just a little more kinder to each other. I also love the the smells of Christmas, it probably sounds funny (the smells of Christmas) but I love the smell of pine, Christmas cookies baking, cinnamon and gingerbread candles, I also love to drive around and see the lights and the Nativity scenes in neighborhoods. It just makes me feel that everyone has that one thing in common, Jesus is the Christ, though we all may be different religions or different backgrounds, that is one the one thing we all believe. It just makes me feel good to know that he is the center of our lives and I try to live it all year and not just at Christmas. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Meet Aggie

Sorry I have taken so long to update this blog. The month of December has just flown by. I will try to do some updating, but first we want you to meet Aggie. He was a Christmas present to the family. The kids and dad have been wanting a dog for such a long time that dad decided to finally get one. Hence the Dad and kids (Mom is allergic to dogs). So we went to the animal shelter and fell in love with Aggie as we call him. He is such a wonderful puppy. He is so playful, and because when we got him he was already in a kennel he dosen't wine or bark when we put him in his for the night. He loves to play with the kids. Here are a few pictures for your enjoyment.

Stone Mountian

Sorry I haven't updated this for a while. Life has been a bit slower for a few weeks. Basketball is starting for the boys at the YMCA, and they are so excited, Thanksgiving is upon us, and Christmas is around the corner.

Last Saturday we had gone to the Cannery in Tucker, Georgia to help bring back the wards order. While we were there we decided to head up the freeway about a mile or two to see Stone Mountain. It is so cool. It is a mountain (hill for me) with General Lee, Jefferson Davis, and Stonewall Jackson carved into it. For those of you who are not sure of who they are they were leaders in the Civil War for the South. I had just read "Gone With the Wind", so the names were familiar with me.

It was a great experience for us. As we walked down to the bottom of the hill there was information about each state the was in the Confederacy. Clark was the one who pointed it out and it was interesting, when that particular state left the United States and joined the Confederacy, to when the Government let them back in. I didn't take pictures of those but now I wish I would have. We weren't there for very long (due that we had to get the order back the the ward), so we didn't get to see a whole lot of the park, we did see what we went there for. I hope Clark, Ryan and Emma enjoyed themselves and actually learned something.
