Court of Honor

Last Wednesday (8-3-11) Clark and Ryan had there Court of Honor, both Clark and Ryan worked really hard to get their merit badges done this year at camp.  This time both Clark and Ryan were able to move up in the ranks.  Ryan got both his second class and first class ranks along with the leatherworking merit badge, woodcarving merit badge and the first aid merit badge.  Clark got his Life Rank along with the first aid merit badge, rowing merit badge, mammal studies merit badge, soil and water conservation merit badge and environmental science merit badge.  Way to go Clark and Ryan!!!!  Now Clark just has to finish a couple of merit badges, and on to his Eagle project.  Yea!!!

Clark, Ryan and Emma worked hard this summer reading for the libraries summer reading program.  They had to read so many books and then they were able to get a prize.  One of the prizes was to go free skating at Wonder World.  We decided to take them up on that and a group of us went last week.  Clark ended up going to a friends house with a group of friends to have a air soft war and go swimming, but Ryan and Emma had a lot of fun skating, I did have to pay for Andrew to play on the inflatables but they all had fun. Ryan and Emma had been trying to get us to take them there for a while.  They had been there for school parties or birthday parties and had a lot of fun and they wanted us to go as a family.  Besides falling down a lot, they want to go back.  Andrew was so funny, he had never been on an inflatable before and it took him a little while to get up the courage to go inside.  He climbed up the entrance and slid down for the longest time till he finally decided that the kids in there were having a blast.  By the time we were ready to leave he wasn't and screamed as we were trying to get out the door.

While we were in Utah this past summer both of our mother's wanted to have family pictures, since we were all going to be together, considering the last family picture we have of the Draper's there are only seven or eight grandchildren in it and now they have over twenty, and the Weir's side I think in our last family picture Emma is a baby (she is nine now).  So it is probably time to get our pictures updated.  I haven't seen the Draper's side pictures yet but this one is of my family (the Weir's).  We are handsome group if I do say so myself!!!  Trying to get four children under the age of two to cooperate was a little too much fun, especially when the one that doesn't want to cooperate is mine. The photographer finally got a shot where he was looking, and I think it turned out great.
