Emma is 9

On April 16th Emma had her 9th birthday.  She was so excited this year, I don't know why but she was.  All she talked about for the last week was what she wanted and was going to get for her birthday.  I hope that she had a wonderful day and she got what she wanted.  This year she wanted another ice cream cake and instead of purchasing one I attempted to make one.  It turned out great she was so happy.

We started the day off with soccer in the morning (both her and Ryan had games), lunch at the Olive Garden, picking out her birthday present and then ice cream cake.  What a day!  We took her to find a bike for her present, she didn't like riding a "boy's bike" as she put it.  We had to go to a couple of stores for her to find just the right bike, but that is okay we wanted her to love it.

Emma 9 years old today. What a princess!

She loves Ramona books, she has wanted the last two books to complete her set. She was stoked when she opened them, she even got another book "Henry and the Clubhouse" which Ramona is in. She has already started to read them, she couldn't wait!

Emma was asked to bring snacks for soccer and since it was her birthday we decided that we would take cupcakes.  She thought that was great!!

Soccer Update
Ryan got to come out of the goal today and play sweeper.  He did a great job, he kept the ball from going in the goal.  He sat the first few minutes and the other team scored, after the coach put him in not another goal was scored.  Way to play Ryan!!!!!  I couldn't get the other picture up here but Ryan got to play goalie the second half and he never got to touch the ball.  He has some great defenders that do a great job stopping the ball, I think he has only let 2 balls by and defended lots more so far this season.

It was so cold and windy that I was hoping Andrew would stay in his stroller.  When the wind stopped blowing it was a beautiful day but when the wind blew it was freezing.  It was great about halfway through Ryan's game he zonked out and didn't wake up till halfway through Emma's game.  I actually got to enjoy the games and he stayed warm.  By the time he woke up it was warmer and Clark took him over to another field and they kicked to ball around, since that is one of the things he does ALL the time.

Emma kicking the ball, she almost had a goal but the goalie was just too fast.
